Kimono Re-Created

textile art created with antique kimono fabric

  • Meaningful Design

Created by a kimono-certified artist with thoughtful cutting placement, color palettes, and motif meanings—each piece includes a story.
Handmade from hand-picked antique/vintage kimono and obi, every item is one of a kind.

  • Sustainable Source

We carefully hand-pick antique/vintage kimono and obi that can no longer be worn, selecting each piece for its design and condition. By repurposing these textiles, we help reduce waste in Japan. For framing, we also use paulownia wood reclaimed from discarded wardrobes

  • Storytelling

We share the story behind each textile—its era, weaving, dyeing techniques, and the meaning of its motifs. Every piece comes with a short narrative that lets you connect more deeply with what you’re holding. So it’s not just an object, but a small piece of living heritage.
